A fully functioning Education Center- The Learning Center @ The Movement will offer trained staff to navigate persons of all ages with educational assistance. Our research has proven that our area suffers from quality educational support. We endeavor to continue to partner with the Birmingham City School System, Jefferson County School Systems, other municipalities, and charter schools to offer our “Excellence in Education” portfolio. Our success over the past three (3) years has resulted in students' transitional return to the classroom after a summer of intensives. Our analysis reveals improvement in morale, attitude, aptitude, confidence in the classroom module, better behavior and conduct, increased scores in classes and assignments, as well as participation in our SOAR program. We propose to initially employ 25 educationally trained professionals to support our detailed project and an additional 75 over Phase 2-4.
